about

Having signed music to several high-profile labels recently, Arclight continues on his skyward trajectory with these two collaborative cuts produced with Project for Mindtech.

The duo’s first, long-awaited collab is ‘Telaphase‘; a solid dancefloor track with tons of guts, texture and character. They wanted to create something funky but with a definite techy edge, something that works just as well on a pair of headphones as in the club. Obscure 80s samples contrast yet complement the monstrous, cutting-edge bassline. DJ support from Ed Rush, Mind Vortex, Inside Info and Crissy Criss amongst others.

Deep and atmosphere-driven, ‘Kalon‘ illustrates both producers’ focus on ensuring their tracks communicate a mood and a vibe as well as working as a piece of dance music. Placing punchy drums and clean synth stabs alongside gritty breaks and warped bass growls, techy and rawer sounds have been expertly blended here. It starts off in definate drum & bass fashion but takes a turn towards a more minimal, dancehall influenced sound before curving smoothly back into the home straight.
